The AVIC Xi'an Flight Automatic Control Research Institute (618 Institute) is a research and development center for three core aviation technologies in China: aviation flight control, inertial navigation, and integrated guidance. It integrates research on automatic control, computer applications, microelectronics technology, simulation technology, and detection technology, as well as precision machinery manufacturing, electronic assembly, and optical processing. It has the "National Defense Science and Technology Key Laboratory" for integrated flight control technology and two ministerial-level "Aviation Science and Technology Key Laboratories" for flight control and inertial navigation.
