The High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) project is located in Beijing's Huairou Science City. It is prioritized for construction during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period under the guidance and support of the National Development and Reform Commission, and it is implemented by the Beijing Municipal Government and the Chinese Academy of Sciences as part of the national "Innovation-Driven Development" strategy. HEPS serves as a national major scientific and technological infrastructure platform providing technical support for national strategic needs and frontier basic scientific research. It is China's first high-energy synchrotron radiation light source and will be one of the world's brightest fourth-generation synchrotron radiation light sources. The construction scope includes the integration of intelligent building systems, energy consumption monitoring systems, building automation systems, electronic patrol systems, and intelligent card systems.
